Each viewer answers specific territorial policy questions with verifiable open data.
Size of the departmental economy (PIB), employed persons, and labor productivity by major branch of economic activity.

Distance of each department from the frontier of its group with a similar productive structure, based on the indicators of the Departmental Competitiveness Index.

Employment, business fabric, and exports of each economic sector (CIIU Rev. 4) in the department.

Municipal indicators of productive vocation, sustainability, and connectivity to identify the strategic priorities of each territory.

The viewers are updated with the most recent reporting year available (as of 2025) based on official sources: DANE (economy, employment), DNP and the Private Competitiveness Council (competitiveness), MinTIC (coverage), UPRA and sectoral registries.
Each data point in the viewer declares its verifiable source: entity, dataset, reporting year and link to the official data. The rule is strict: what is published in the viewer is the truth.

An automated process checks weekly whether official sources have published a new reporting year; when a new cutoff appears, the viewer is updated.

View capabilities (API) Service status
The documentation is in the "View capabilities" link, which declares the current access mode. Data consumption is carried out with an access key issued to each entity, with its usage limit and query log: the data is public in origin —it comes from official sources, cited in each viewer— and the key does not restrict it; it allows knowing who consulted what. Credential-free access is subject to authorization by the agreement's oversight body.
